First Public Demonstration of Radiovison

June 13, 1925

Ohio engineer Charles Francis Jenkins demonstrates the first synchronized transmission of pictures and sound, using 48 lines, and a mechanical system. Jenkins called this “the first public demonstration of radiovision” though he claimed to have successfully transmitted a moving silhouette in June 1923.
