RCA Begins Post War Television Manufacturing

RCA’s first post war television set goes on sale. Approximately 10,000 model 630TS sets sell in 1946, with an original price tag of $352. By the end of 1949 that number is up to 49,000, earning the 630TS the nickname “Model T” of television sets.
