The Microprocessor

The microprocessor is invented by Gilbert Hyatt. He applies for a patent, which is contested by Intel Corporation, who in the time since Hyatt’s application, has quickly created the first commercially viable microprocessor and taken it to market. Hyatt is eventually awarded the patent in 1990.
